3 Simple Smoothie Recipes

One request I see often in my DMs is for more recipes. Given how hot it has been here in Denver the last couple of months, I’ve been finding myself making more and more smoothies.

I have always been a big fan of smoothies because they’re easy to make, they’re healthy, and you can prep them so that they’re packed with protein. Another perk is that there are so many different ways to make smoothies — so they don’t get boring to eat every day.

To help you whip up some new smoothies this summer, I’m sharing three of my favorite recipes at the moment. These are all so tasty and they just take five minutes to make. Try having one for breakfast or for a post-workout snack — I promise they won’t disappoint!

Matcha Smoothie

You guys know I love my matcha so I had to include this recipe for you. If you haven’t checked out my “how to make matcha” blog post, be sure to read that next!

Ingredients:

  • Half of an avocado

  • 1 cup frozen fruit (I use banana, blueberry, strawberry or just one frozen banana)

  • 1 serving matcha

  • 1/2 - 1 cup non-dairy milk (less if you like your smoothies to be thick)

  • Honey (if you like sweetener)

Vanilla Coffee Smoothie

If you’re a coffee fan then you’re going to love this smoothie — it totally hits the spot.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vanilla protein (I use BEAM vegan protein which is linked here — use code WHITSICH)

  • 1 cup iced coffee or 1 to 3 espresso shots

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 - 1 cup non-dairy milk

Peach and Honey Smoothie

Presley loves this smoothie so much! When I make it for her, I just leave out the protein powder.

Ingredients:

  • 2 peaches (frozen or fresh)

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 - 1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt

  • A few ice cubes

  • 1 cup vanilla protein (optional)
