My Simple Summer Makeup Routine

A couple weeks ago, I shared a little bit about my makeup routine on Instagram stories. I wanted to post something more permanent so you could refer back to these products whenever you need some recs — which leads me to this blog post!

I have always been a fan of lightweight and more natural makeup looks. Plus, it’s especially nice to go light with makeup in the summer since the weather is hot and humid or dry, depending on where you live.

In my opinion, these products create the perfect go-to summer makeup routine. I always have these in stock and can’t speak more highly of their quality. They all go on your skin smoothly and they hold up well throughout the day, whether you’re working out or playing with your kids. Another bonus: this routine is super quick!

Clearstem Collagen Stem Cell Serum

Before I put any makeup on, I use this serum all over my skin. It’s super calming and soothing and is made with so many great anti-aging ingredients.

Clearstem Eye Gel

This is another one of my faves from Clearstem. I dab this under my eyes and find it to be hydrating and cooling. You can also use it on your lips overnight!

Clearstem Sheer Broad-Spectrum SPF 50+

This tinted SPF is my absolute favorite thing to put on my skin when I’m in the mood for a “no makeup” makeup kind of day.

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint

I know so many people have already heard of this skin tint, but if you haven’t tried yet, you need to get on it! It’s seriously soooo good. I use it when I want a little more coverage than what I get with a tinted moisturizer or SPF.

Well People Powder Foundation 

You can use this powder foundation on top of a moisturizer or liquid foundation to help with oil/shiny spots. It’s also good to reapply throughout the day and can be used over SPF.

Merit Perfecting Complexion Stick

I use this beauty stick to spot conceal and cover up any blemishes as needed. It’s good to have on hand for those just-in-case moments.

Clearstem Brush-On Mineral Sunscreen

I carry this mineral sunscreen powder in my purse for touch ups throughout the day — so convenient!

Lux Unfiltered Beauty Balm 

This is the creamiest blush ever! It leaves you with such a natural, sun-kissed glow. l also use this in the shade Tropics for bronzer.

Ilia Micro Tip Pencil 

I always fill my brows in with this pencil and then push them slightly upwards with the brush on the end. It might seem like a pain to do this step every day, but it just takes a couple of seconds and it makes a big difference.

Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara

This is truly the best mascara ever. It makes your eyelashes look so long and I love that it doesn’t leave them clumpy.
